Work Experience

The purpose of this page is to a give a more detailed description of my work experience in an effort to showcase the knowledge, competence, and dexterity I have gained over the years.

U GOT MUNCHIES: This is my current place of employment. U Got Munchies is a food cart located on Temple University Campus (Norris Street between 13th and Broad) that specializes in gourmet style sandwiches, burgers, cheese steaks, salads, and fries.  It was started by four of my friends (three of which are current or former Temple students) in March of 2010 with the idea to give the students of Temple food that fresh, original, and filling and offer hours and services more catered to the college student. Although we have only been open for a short period of time, it has been a great experience working first hand with a start-up business built from the ground up.  I plan to increase my role and responsibilities this upcoming year in order to better the management and organizational skills that will aid me in my upcoming career.

K MART: I worked at my local K Mart as a sales associate while I finished my last year at Cumberland County College.  Although I worked in the electronics section, I also did work for the surrounding departments which included furniture, toys, layaway, and housewares. This job taught me a lot about multi-tasking and handling stress. With K Mart being a struggling company, we were usually short on staff and everybody had to work a little harder than normal.  I also learned a lot about independent work during my time here.  Since we were short staffed, you had to be pretty self motivated and willing to manage your time well. I left this job after I graduated from Cumberland County College and transferred to Temple.

BOB EVANS: I worked as a busboy and dishwasher for a short time at the Bob Evans in my neighboring town for a short period of time while I attended Cumberland County College. Honestly, this is probably the least favorite job I ever held.  The hours were long and the work was tiring, but this job did teach me that sometimes you got to suck it up and do some things you don’t want to do in order to get where you want to be. I left this job in order to concentrate more on my studies in college.

WIRELESS ACCESSORIES: This was the first job I ever had. Wireless Accessories was a kiosk located in the Cumberland Mall in my hometown in Vineland, NJ that specialized in cell phone accessories such as cases, chargers, covers, and head sets.  I got this job because the owner of the business was family friend of my father and he was gracious enough to offer me a job when I came of age to work.  This job taught me a lot about customer service and just the basics of being a hard working employee.
