In 2018, I attended the Fox IT Career Fair. I was very excited to talk with favorite companies. This event was a huge networking opportunity, and there were many large corporations in attendance. Every industry was represented by the companies at the IT Career Fair, and each company was unique. I made a list of companies which I want to meet with them. I had extensive conversations with recruiters from RSM, EY, Grant Thornton, and Deloitte. I did an interview with Grant Thorton and EY. In the Career Fair, I grew my network.
I participated in the 2018 Temple University NBC Universal Data Analytics Challenge with my three partners. How do esports comply with media? First, we analyzed the data on the demographics and related traditional sports. Then we found out there are many similar demographics and we suggested how we could market them as well. We created an infographic for the business problem of how can media companies align with e-sports. Through this experience, I learned how to interpret data statistics. This project required many hours and lots of hard work.
In this February, I attended a Career Fair. In the Fair, 110 companies participated. I talked only two companies Roach Capital and Kreischer Miller because of both companies had a web developer job opportunity. Both company recruiters briefly explained about the company and their roles. I shared my resume, background, and skills with the recruiters, and I also talked about my MIS classes. I applied for both of the companies. Roach Capital accepted my application, and I did an interview with the company.
