Market Research Analyst; Web Designer
TheNaturalGentleman is a startup company that produces and markets men’s organic grooming products. The company is based in New York, but conducts a high majority of business through their website. I was an intern employed directly by the owner, and worked with a multitude of people with other areas of expertise—my focus was situated in the design of their website, and the implementation of marketing strategies to consumers. My role was to create a website for a business developing organic grooming products, as well as to research and earmark potential venues for marketing and expansion opportunities.
Specific projects included:
- Determining design and accessibility of the website for visitors. Resulting in a clean and comfortable website.
- Analytics tracking reports for the website. Which allowed the business to see how website traffic faired.
- Suggesting opportunities for niche targeting with the backing of business data. So the business could choose on what type of consumer they could focus on.
What I have done in this internship directly correlates to what is taught in MIS 3501; creating a web-based application that relied heavily on keeping track of consumer data.
