Beginning of Pandemic
Description:
I was working with my Supervisor/Owner to setup additional Point of Sale systems (POS) integrated with
mobile ordering to fulfill the increase in demand for pharmaceutical products during COVID-19
pandemic. Our first target was to partner with pointy.com, we added all in-store product SKUs on the
portal so that now our customers can browse inventory online and reserve it for curbside pickup to
practice social distancing. Our next task was to design a spreadsheet to account for the Cost of Goods sold
reflecting daily sales and revenue. I was assigned to manage a home delivery scheduler for employees
who deliver prescriptions on an auto-refill basis for elderly people (55+) to emphasize quarantine and
keeping the community safe. I further volunteered to setup desktops with the advanced firewall to protect
customer identity and their insurance information, also added VPNs on all desktops to avoid cyber
threats. I discovered how to make any small business go online to meet the industry standards as now
every product at Skippack Pharmacy is visible as in-stock/out-of-stock in real-time just by a simple
google search. I learned how to maintain inventory and order products as needed and how to finalize
employee payroll with time and attendance reports found in the internal time clock system.
