Supply Chain Intern
This spring I completed a 1-year internship with Fastenal as a Supply Chain Intern. In my role I utilized various Microsoft and proprietary softwares to complete my tasks. These tasks included inventory management, purchasing analysis, and creating Power BI and Excel reports to provide insights into branch operations. While there is no official offer letter for this role, I was hired on March 17, 2025. This internship provided me an excellent opportunity to apply various data analytic processes and information systems to increase branch efficiencies and revenue. Key results of my time with Fastenal resulted in a 23% reduction in inventory holding costs and a 17% reduction in total number of orders, due to more efficient ordering processes.
