Internship at Pfizer
This past summer (Summer 2017), I had the pleasure of interning at Pfizer Inc. located in Collegeville, PA. This was a remarkable experience, as I gained valuable IT experience in a professional setting and made important relationships with my peers.
The classes I have took at the Fox School of Business, especially the upper level MIS courses, significantly helped me during my internship and immediately put me in a position to succeed. MIS 2502 helped me understand how databases were structured and how to pull data using SQL queries; something I did nearly every day. MIS 3506 taught me how to think from the perspective of a business analyst and how to effectively collaborate with peers over the duration of a project. BA 2196 helped me effectively communicate with colleagues in a professional setting and informed me on proper email etiquette.
All in all, my experience at Pfizer was truly one to remember. It was a great way to start my career in the IT field and provided me with many contacts that will assist me over the course of my career.
