Coursework
I have nearly completed the Business Administration fundamental coursework required by Temple University, giving me a strong fundamental understanding of the innerworkings of business, management, finance, and more. My studies in Spanish will allow me to communicate with a larger demographic of possible customers, clients, or partners. My classes in Sociology (Intro to Sociology, Sociology of the Self), combined with the Business Management major required courses in HRM that are often referred to as “applied sociology” (Power, Influence, and Negotiation, Organizational Communication, etc.) give me a concrete base of human resource understanding that will aid me in any management field chosen in the future.
In addition, my chosen current career path of eSports is led by a starkly young demographic, and many employeees in management positions do not have college degrees. Simply having the Business Administration accreditation will give me a leg up in any business applications in my field over my peers. The wide-range applications of Temple’s business major will provide wide-reaching positive effects on my ability to apply for any jobs I choose, even without specific technical coursework. However, should I choose a tech-specific path, my completion of the intermediate level MIS courses will aid me in programming or computer science job applications.
