INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Ever since my early days I was involved in competitive sports, whether playing or watching, they are my favorite activities. Over my tenure of playing competitive sports, I was lucky enough to experience many different sports ranging from soccer, basketball, hockey, baseball, track, golf, and football. No matter what sport I was involved with at the time, they all taught me valuable life lessons that I will carry on into the business world. Sports have taught me how to work well in a team-based environment and on the opposite side of the spectrum, how to be mentally tough when your back is against the wall in difficult situations. I have learned that sports are a universal language. The World Cup and the Olympics are prime examples of sports where different countries come together to compete for glory. I enjoy cheering for my country as well as anybody and that goes back to my roots as a competitive athlete. Just like sports are becoming global, so is the business world in an exponential way. Globalization is real and it is upon us. I hope to bring what I have learned from the experience of sports into the global world of business.
Another hobby of mine is astronomy and the physics of the universe we live in. I think it is so interesting that there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on the planet earth. I am definitely someone who enjoys the little things in life, such as a relaxing day on the beach or camping under the stars. Being at peace with oneself is a very rare thing in this fast paced world, I think everyone should get to experience these things because they are really humbling.
