IT Intern
My IT internship with Roots Catering took place in Orefield, PA, where I had the opportunity to work alongside ~15 employees in a small business setting. The function of my role involved IT support, software development, and web development. Throughout the span of my internship, I served as IT support for employees by troubleshooting technology issues in a device rollout project and assisting in Google Administration tasks. Another project I contributed to was the development and maintenance of the FileMaker database software currently serving internal staff, working towards a productions SaaS to be licensed to external venues. The last project I worked on involved Wix web development where I updated site components and created automations acting as a CRM for customer/client interactions. From these projects I learned about database development, process identification, user experience, and business management in real world applications where I was able to strengthen my knowledge learned from MIS 2101 Intro to MIS, 2402 Web Application Development, 2502 Data and Analytics, and 3506 User Experience Design.
