Selected MIS courses I have taken:
MIS2402:Web Application Development– Throughout this class, I learned to create web-based applications which carry out a business process. Thoroughly learning about loops, arrays, conditional statements, and data validation through Javascript, I enhanced my coding abilities and strengthened my analytical problem-solving mindset.
MIS2502: Data and Analytics – Through working with programming languages such as MySQL, JavaScript, and R, I gained the analytical foundation and technical knowledge for designing database systems and analyzing business data to solve business problems.
MIS2901: Honors Information Systems in Organizations – In the intro course to MIS major, I learned about the role of information systems and digital platforms in business, the functionality of business operation software tools, e.g. ERP and CRM, and how digital processes are conceived, designed, secured, and implemented through the usage of tools such as swim lane diagrams and ERDs.
MIS0855: Data Science – Through data visualization tools, such as Tableau, I learned how to harness the power of data by mastering the ways it is stored, organized, and analyzed to enable better decision-making and problem-solving processes.
