Coursework
In these four semesters, I have enrolled in various engaging courses which have allowed me to develop interests in MIS and Finance:
- MIS 0855 – Data Science: This course introduced me to the field of MIS in my first year, and I learned of business analytical softwares, mainly Tableau.
- STAT 2103 – Statistical Business Analytics: I have learned extensively about probability and hypothesis testing which can help in data analysis.
- ACCT 2101 – Financial Accounting: This course has helped build a basic foundation of accounting which is necessary for any business student.
- MIS 2101 – Information Systems in Organization: I studied how a firm collects, organizes, and analyzes data to make better decisions. Moreover, this course allowed me to build a great interest in the field of MIS.
- BA 2104 – Excel for Business Applications: This course helped me prepare to solve business problems using Excel.
- MIS 2502 – Data Analytics: This course provides a foundation for analyzing business data and designing database systems for a firm.
- ACCT 2102 – Managerial Accounting: This course taught me how managers of a firm use accounting information to make better decisions for the benefit of the firm.
- RMI 2101 – Introduction to Risk Management and Insurance: This course provides the basic foundation of RMI, and teaches you to identify and evaluate different types and sources of risk, and how to implement solutions to avoid such risks.
