My name is Shuting (Ada) Wang. I am a first-year PhD student in Fox School of Business with a concentration in Management Information System. My research interests lie in e-commerce strategy, digital business strategy, and development of research methods.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management from Zhongnan University of Economics and Laws in 2009 and a master’s degree in Operations Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 2011. My master’s thesis applied in-depth empirical approaches to explore online customer behavior based on a dataset from Taobao. I also have research experience working as a Research Assistant in the fields of rural economy and marketing. Prior to entering academia, I have industrial experience in different industries, including internship in General Electric, Cummins, and SAP, and most recently a full-time management trainee in JD.com, one of the leading online retailing companies in China.
