HealthScape Advisors
HealthScape Advisors is a healthcare consulting firm located in Chicago, Illinois. The company was founded in 2008 and has been growing rapidly ever since. I had the privilege of interning with this privately held company during my 2014 winter break. While I was there, I was able to work with five different teams all of which had a different type of project they were working on. Some days I would sit in on client calls and learn how to take notes about what the client needs. Other days I would do my own research on a topic and present it to the project leader in order to assist the team with their work. AstraZeneca
AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals is a global, publicly traded company that manufactures major drugs like Crestor and Symbicort. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Leaders in Finance Tomorrow internship program at AstraZeneca after my Freshman year. The program was in corporate finance where the interns supported various departments with their day to day work, while also working on a group intern project. The intern project was to figure out a way to lower the company’s selling, general and administrative expense and present our findings in a formal presentation to senior leadership. This internship was very informative and the employees made it a priority to make everyday a learning experience.
