Coursework
Completed Courses:
MIS 5122 – Enterprise Architecture for IT Auditors
MIS 5201 – IT Audit Process
MIS 5205 – IT Delivery & Support
MIS 5203 – Systems & Infrastructure Life Cycle Management
During my first year as an ITACS student, I was able to advance my technical knowledge through Enterprise Architecture for IT Auditors. As an individual who had no formal technical background, I found that this class aided in understanding the different components of an information system through hands on learning via virtual machines. Subsequently, classes such as IT Audit Process, IT Delivery & Support, and SDLC allowed for an independent approach to assignments and exercises through a “learning by doing” approach rather than being told exactly what to do for each task. This method of learning has given me the confidence to handle new challenges while expanding my educational foundation as I transition my career to technology and business.
Courses in Progress:
MIS 5202 – IT Governance
MIS 5206 – Protection of Information Assets
MIS 5190 – Business Skills for ITACS Professionals
This semester, I hope to gain a more detailed understanding of information security policy through these ITACS core classes, especially by learning from my peers on the cyber-security track. Moreover, I plan on tailoring my interpersonal and customer service skills to better fit my future career as an IT Auditor through Business Skills for ITACS Professionals.
