Information Systems & Information Technology ;

Enterprise IT Architecture: The focus of this course was to learn how technology is applied in the everyday within an enterprise environment. We used Microsoft Azure to create VM’s that acted as Domain Controllers, File Servers, Workstations, etc. and learned how each piece interacts with one another.

Digital Solutions Studio: Through the use of a studio classroom environment, with real clients, this course allowed me to learn how to interact with clients as we collected requirements, modeled processes, and designed solutions to our client’s problems.

Information Systems in Organizations: This course allowed myself to develop an understanding of the role of information technology within an organization and how MIS professionals use technology to help organizations achieve their goals.

Data-Centric Application Development: This course was centered around developing web-based data-centric applications and developing an understanding of the programming languages (HTML, CSS, & Javascript) used to create them, with a focus on the development lifecylce of creating data driven software applications.

Data Analytics: The focus of this course was to design database-centric solutions for organizations, learning to operate and manage a database system, and apply data mining and visualization in order to generate business intelligence. The course also focused on the SQL & R programming languages  and their role database centric business solutions.

 

Statistical Analysis ;

Statistical Business Analytics: This course covered the fundamentals of data description, data analysis, and graphical methods for business applications in order to develop a proficiency in regression models and forecasting.

Quantitative Methods for Business I: This course focused on the development of mathematics and Excel skills in order to solidify foundational quantitative skills for use in relevant business applications.

Quantitative Methods for Business II: This course focused on further development of Mathematics and Excel skills to foster proficiency in areas of quantitative analysis for use in relevant business applications.

 

Business Foundations ;

Leadership and Organizational Management: This course helped to address the challenges of leading a high-performing organization. I learned topics that covered effective leadership inside organizations, effective communication between employees and customers, how to foster efficient team building, and general human resource management.

Macroeconomic Principles: This course laid the foundation for understanding the national economy. The topics covered in the course allowed me to develop a fundamental understanding monetary and fiscal policy, economics on the international scale, and economic growth.

Microeconomic Principles: In this course  I developed my understanding of the underlying economic forces that drives everyday business. By studying the decisions made at the individual or business level, I learned how different factors can influence choices and ultimately influence the success of a business.

Financial Accounting: This course covered the basic concepts and principles regarding the use of financial statements in business such as asset and liability valuation, transactional analysis , and preparation of financial statements.

Managerial Accounting: The focus of this course was concepts related to a manger’s role in making business decisions through the use of accounting data.

Legal Environment of Business: This course introduced the essential aspects of law that every business person must understand in order to operate within the confines of the law. I learned to create multiple types of business entities, the liabilities associated with those entities, the basics of tort law, contract law, and international law, as well as the multitude of regulations within the business environment.

Introduction to Risk Management: This course focused on the identification, evaluation, and treatment of risks associated with operating any business.

Marketing Management: The focus of this course was the role of marketing within a firm and developing an understanding of the concepts, methods, and activities that comprise modern marketing management.

Business Society & Ethics: This course was designed to challenge future business professionals to consider the ethical obligations of corporations and their employees to their stakeholders.
