Women of the Cloud College Tour at Temple University
I attended the Women of the Cloud College Tour at Temple University, which was sponsored by AWS. The event was focused on helping women grow in the tech industry through networking, mentorship, and career development. It included a keynote by Kim Basile, a panel discussion, and breakout sessions. I participated in the “Art of Networking” breakout session, where I learned how to make my elevator pitch feel more natural by talking through my experiences and highlighting key skills. I also learned the importance of taking initiative and putting yourself out there, even when it feels uncomfortable. Overall, the event taught me the value of stepping outside of my comfort zone, building strong connections, and continuing to learn. It also gave me the chance to meet and connect with professionals and students who share similar career interests.
