Automation Essentials Series Sales & Marketing Alignment

This even was organized by Act-On, a software company that mainly focuses on creating automating Marketing programs. The main speaker was Jenn Barder, and this event was held through Webinar on March 31st, 2020 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm (EDT).

The speaker was mainly discussed about how to align the goals of marketing and sales together using the technology – the Act-on technology. I learned the technologies we can use to help doing so are demand generation, lead management, and CMS programs. Demand generation used to help the company to attract and capture more customers. Lead management will help the company to work well with the team and ensure that everyone is updated with the latest information. This is one of the most important features provided by Act-on. The CMS programs will help the company to understand more about the existing customers and attract new customers

The three programs have been discussed during classes so many times, and now I can see the relationship of the programs to the marketing and sale perspectives. Not only that I understand more about the technologies, I also understand more about people\\\\\\\’s behaviors and how to approach them better. During the class, we did a survey to see how aligned the marketing team with sale team, and the answer from them participants were that 25% are not very aligned while 5% are not aligned at all. This suggests to me that there are many more demand out there that I can pursue for my future career.
