Classes Taken

Prior to attending Temple University I went to Delaware County Community College to acquire an Associates Degree in Science for Business Administration. While at DCCC I participated in mainly general Education courses along with some core concept courses. I only really got into major classes here at Temple. Here are some quick synopsis’s of courses I have taken.

Intro to Risk Management and Insurance: This  is one of the most intense course that I have ever taken. It encompasses both managing risks along with insuring those risks. From this class I am able to take away concepts that will help me in  the future especially when it comes to the possibility of owning my own business. The main concept I took away from this class is how to calculate expected costs and how to apply worry values to determine which type of risk control a business would want to participate in.

Consumer Buyer Behavior: Learning how consumer acts and their buying behaviors while interacting with a business is key to someone who is in marketing and in the market to own their own business. Such as what ques contort the consumers mind to purchase an item that they may not have intended to buy. Peripheral ques, the ability to recall, and building brand loyalty are important in the buying behavior of your consumer.

Management Information Systems- Here I was able to learn the cyber world in a whole new light. Because Social media has changed our views on how we do business this class provided information needed to use technology to our advantage. In this class I learned how to use pivot tables help show future projections, was able to get training in the SAP system. Along with these concepts information was provided on how to manage my digital identity which is very key in a growing online social age.
