Student IT Tech

This position provides technical support for the Temple Community. The position will assist with the daily operations and programs of the office. Successful candidates must have demonstrated leadership ability, strong organizational skills, a proactive work ethic, a strong interpersonal skill set, and a dedication to quality.

List Full Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides technical support to faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Perform general administrative tasks (i.e. Photo copying, organization, mail delivery etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to professional staff (i.e. telephone calls, inventory, special tasks)
  • Contributing to the smooth running of technology
  • Troubleshooting PCs, as well as upgrading and installing software

 

 

General Qualifications

 

  • In-depth experience in personal computer and network setup, configuration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Good working knowledge of the installation and use of common PC software.
  • Literate in MS Office, and One Drive
  • Strong customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • The ability to pay attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be punctual and accountable

 

Probationary Period

  • You will be placed on a probationary training period which lasts for two weeks so we can determine your stability and work performance.
  • Upon successful completion of probation period consultant may be considered for head consultant position following semester.
  • The student will be trained working alongside another head consultant or management and be required not to miss any workdays during this time.
  • All consultants are hired on semester basis and re-hiring is at the discretion of management.

 

Dress Code:

  1. Always maintain a clean and neat professional appearance.
  2. Collared shirts are a must.
  3. Absolutely no open toed shoes, and no headphones.
