Fireside Chat – Larry Dignan
Larry Dignan is the Vice President Editorial and Editor in Chief at Red Ventures. Larry also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Temple for almost 4 years now. What I have learned from this IBIT chat is that their are multiple positives and negatives to the post Covid-19 workplace. Dignan highlights some of the negatives in his presentation. He argues that people are getting burned out much too quick over zoom and other platforms. He also worries that it may be much more difficult to network with “higher-ups” in the company to move up the corporate ladder. In terms of salary and work benefits, Dignan also fears pay cuts for multiple work place environments. After attending the chat with Larry Dignan, I now have a much more sophisticated viewpoint of the society we live in after the pandemic hit. He did a fantastic job highlighting what the future has to hold for work places in America as well as sharing his own stories about the work changes in place that are happening every day.
