Brixmor Internship
Brixmor Property Group is a real estate investment trust owns and operates grocery-anchored community and neighborhood shopping centers. The company went public in 2013 after being bought by The Blackstone Group. I interned at Brixmor this summer as a tax intern focused heavily on the preparation of partnership tax returns. The company have several restructuring deals as a result of going public and I had the chance to work on many returns that were affected by it. In addition to federal and state income tax returns, I was exposed to franchise taxes, sales and use taxes, and business personal property taxes.
