Where Is the Data? Making Data Visualizations Accessible to All
I attended the “Where Is the Data?” workshop from Temple University’s Charles Library, which focused on the principles of accessible design for data visualizations. I learned specific techniques for optimizing color contrast, utilizing alternative text, and structuring dashboards to ensure they are interpretable by diverse audiences. This experience directly supports my work in data science and Tableau, as mastering these inclusive design standards is essential for creating high-impact visualizations that effectively communicate insights for strategic management.
