Work Experience
In June 2010 I have acquired a position at Tres Yan & Wu, a French-Asian cuisine restaurant as a server/busser. During my experience I have been exposed to working with a team of professionally trained co-workers to complete service. One of my most pleasurable moments while working here is providing excellent customer satisfaction to customers. Reveling in customer satisfaction towards customers is extremely crucial on whether a customer will be returning in the future. What I enjoy most about working here is that I interact with different people everyday and the co-workers I work with which makes the working environment even finer.
In May 2014 I have acquired another position at Five Below as a sales associate. Five Below is a store that sells products no more than $5. Products range from sports related items, games, fashion accessories, bath and body related items, room decorations, accessories for electronics, and many more. During my experience here what I learned was how to communicate and interact effectively with customers. Customers would come in and ask for a desired product based on their needs and I would guide them to a relevant product. Providing customers with a pleasant experience is crucial to whether a customer will be returning in the future. What I enjoy most about working here is that you get to see new products first and then display knowledge of the product to a potential buyer. Working at Five Below has been nothing but a positive experience for me.
Overall, working at both of these places will benefit me in my MIS career. Throughout working both of these jobs, I have enhanced my communication skills. When I am in the workforce, communication is very crucial. Once I receive the data and analyze it I will have to report what I have analyzed to my boss in a professional manner and where my communication skills will be needed.
