This event was put on by the Blackstone launch pad at Temple. The speaker discussed how small businesses who do not have as much cash can use website building tools as opposed to costly development. The message of this workshop was very clear. Do this and save money. First the speaker went online and got an instant estimate of a website that would be built by a tech firm. The price was 26,000. Then the speaker highlighted specifically how to create a site that meets all the functional requirements in a website builder for only about $100 a year.
This was a very valuable event that opened my eyes to website building tools. Even if I have the knowledge to code there is no sense in spending extra time doing something that can be accomplished in five minutes. Ultimately coding can lead to much flexibility, but when the goal is simplicity these web building tools can not be beat.
