Previous Work
Food Host at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
During my first semester in college I was not working, with so much extra time on my hands, I decided to apply at the hospital my mother worked at to keep myself busy. I started working in the kitchen at the crack of dawn, preparing the meals for the patients in the hospital and the residents at St. Joseph’s Manor. It was several months until my hard work paid off and I was promoted to work next to the nurses and doctors serving the food to the patients. During summer and winter breaks off from school, I resume my responsibilities and am still employed today.
It was here where I learned a great deal about myself and people. Working at a hospital has taught me that everybody deserves the most respect you can give, for they all have there own personal struggles. I also met some great people that I am lucky to call my coworkers let alone my friends.
This was my first, yet hardest job I have worked. I started working here the summer before my sophomore year and stopped before I started college. It was my high school money making gig in which I fried, grilled, cleaned, and handled customer money. I made minimum wage and worked long hours but do not regret it at all, for it was here where I learned the true value of my own money and how to make a mouth watering cheese steak.
