Car Enthusiast

I am an automobile enthusiast who enjoys learning about how cars work, to properly maintaining a personal vehicle, and how other models of automobiles. Since earning my privilege to drive at the age of sixteen, I have owned four cars. Here are their stories:

7-3-10 My first car was a 1998 Toyota Sienna minivan, which was handed to me with 112,000 miles, when I was sixteen. This picture was taken on July 3rd, 2010 after another motorist struck my vehicle when I was stopped at a stop sign. No one was hurt.
IMG_0542 A month later, I made my first vehicle purchase. A 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport with a five speed manual transmission, all wheel drive, a 2.2 liter boxer motor that is natural aspirated, and 99,000 miles upon delivery. I made several bolt-on modifications including: a K&N filter, front head light HID kit, upgraded spark plugs and wiring kit, 17″ knock off enkei wheels, straight pipe exhaust system from the catalytic converter all the way back to the muffler (which was deleted), alpine head unit, and replaced the rear hatch door because the previous owner backed up into a tree. I had to part ways with the Impreza due to another motorist rear ending my vehicle and fleeing the scene.
IMAG0043 This vehicle I had for the shortest period. It is a 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback anniversary addition, five speed manual transmission, heated leather seats, fog lamps, and all wheel drive.
IMAG0432 Finally, my current daily drive is a 1992 Toyota pick up truck. I bought this from my uncle who owned this since brand new. Upon delivery, the truck only had 58,000 miles! This model was the last year Toyota made their trucks in Japan and before Toyota released the Tundra and Tacoma series of trucks. This truck is a single cab, 2X4, six foot bed, automatic transmission, and most notably it has Toyota’s famous 22-RE motor. Know for reaching 300,000 miles of use with minimal maintenance.
IMG_0040 On Memorial day 2012, I paid a luxury car company to drive their 2008 Ferrari F430 sports car around the parking lot of Citizen’s Bank park ball field in South Philadelphia. This mid engine, eight cylinder Italian super car is the finest automobile I ever had the privilege of operating. It was like a dream come true for ten minutes.
