Opportunity Knocks: Acing Your Interview

On Thursday 11/16/2023 I attended an online workshop by The Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

During this meeting, the moderator, Vibha Agrawal brought up many topics and questions that were spoken about by the many panelists that they had to give their insight and knowledge about to the audience.

Some of the points they highlighted that would help a person be successful in their interview are as follows:

  1.  Make sure to arrive early to your interview(if it is in person), but not too early, around 10-15 minutes before/
  2.  Make sure to wear proper professional attire. Aka a suit or dress shirt and pants.
  3.  If you are nervous beforehand you should do a practice interview with your family or friends to help you prepare and relax your nerves.
  4.  You should make sure you come prepared to the interview. Do some research on the company you are interviewing for and also the person interviewing you if you can. Come prepared with questions and topics to ask about.

From all these tips and pointers I think they will help me prepare in my own professional development as I interview for internships for this upcoming summer.
