Fashion and Beauty Professional Fair
The Fashion and Beauty Professional Fair, organized by the Center of Student Professional Development (CSPD), provided an amazing opportunity to connect with recruiters from the fashion and beauty industries. As the Chair of Graphic Design for the Philly Beauty Birds Student Professional Organization, I had the privilege of helping manage the event. The event began with a fashion show highlighting professional makeup and attire, followed by a career panel featuring recruiters from leading companies such as URBN, Burlington, Nordstrom, and Doll10 Beauty.The event wrapped up with a networking session, where students had the chance to meet and talk to recruiters directly.
I gained a deeper understanding of what recruiters are looking for in candidates, as well as valuable insight into the importance of branding and personal presentation. It was inspiring to hear how leaders of the fashion and beauty industry value creativity, communication, and professionalism. This experience has given me valuable knowledge about career paths in fashion and beauty.
