Data Analyst for Cancer Research Project
- Researched individual metadata (sex/race) with mutational differences (nucleotide sequences) from National Institute of Health’s GDAC ‘Firebrowse’ site
- Installed Ubuntu Linux VM (virtual machine) and developed bash and Python scripts to extract multiple data sets, uncompressed and concatenated data files, parsed, standardized and loaded clinical data
- Created a database to store data for 10 mutational differences in cancer rates amongst surveyed cancer patients
- Performed statistical significance test and data analysis on five data sets using R Studio.
