DNC- Democratic National CommitteeCampaign Assistant Intern and Volunteer

Every person has a passion that fuels him or her to achieve greater things. What starts off as a small spark eventually becomes a growing flame that paves the path for an individual to discover his or her purpose in life. For me, that very passion is campaigning and working to make a difference in the lives of others. Campaigning not only did help me make a change, but I developed my skill sets such as confidence in leading projects, working in a team, and public speaking. Campaigning helped me grow as an individual, it helped me visualize a pathway for my future–thus it gave me a purpose for my life.

In 2017, my recent project was working on Hillary Clinton’s campaign…

Some of the tasks I’ve done are listed below:

  • Tracked canvassing history, including locations, events, materials distributed, and signatures collected
  • Recruited, trained, and managed volunteers to increase the volunteer network
  • Managed and executed phone banks, canvasses, and voter registration drives assisting Hillary for America
  • Planned other special events to reach voters or engaged with external groups while distributing promotional campaign material to the public
  • Increased voter registration by 58%
