- MIS 3406 – Enterprise IT Architecture
Enterprise IT Architecture was a very interesting course. In this class, I learned how to deploy virtual cloud-based applications through Amazon Web Services. I learned many new things such as how to create EC2 instances, subnets, RDS instance, relational database, load balancers etc.
- MIS 3506 – Digital Solutions Studio
I learned about Norman’s concepts on design and user experience (UX) for users. In this course, I learned more about the UX and how a good UX can help your product as well as the user using the product. I learned how to think and analyze like a user, so that we can improve the product by the user insights gained and make sure it works properly.
Spring 2019
- MIS 2402 – Data-Centric Application Development
In this course, I learned about different programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc. and how to use them altogether to form different applications. I also learned about jQuery, Ajax and JSON and how to use the following languages to retrieve and post data using get and post methods.
Fall 2018
- MIS 2502 – Data Analytics
In this course, I learned about data and how to analyze the data using different methods such as ERD and how to draw ERD diagrams to solve the given problem. I also worked with SQL to retrieve the data from the database. We also worked with R and R studio and learned how to create decision trees etc. to analyze the data in a more precise way.
Spring 2018
- MIS 2101 – Information Systems in Organizations
In this course, I learned what exactly MIS is and how it will help me build my future. I learned how different companies uses MIS to improve their efficiency. Also, I learned about how to draw diagrams which makes the business process easier and more efficient.
Spring 2017
- MIS 0855 – Data Science
In this course, I learned about the importance of “data” in general. This course taught me how to use Tableau, Excel and Piktochart and create different data visualizations to make complicated data easier to understand.
