Membership- 2018-Present
These are the professional development activities I attend in AIS organization:
- Spring Connection- I attend the spring2019 professional development connection, I have spoken to many representatives from all other great company. I learn how to communicate with other professionals and find myself the opportunity for many great interviews. Also, I see that it is very important to learn about the company before going to the connection because you will be more confident talking to the company and have more conversation.
- Community Service: In the Duckery community service. I learn how to be patient when teaching the children’s and ask open-ended questions. Because children are developing foundational language skills during this time period, it’s important to engage them in communication as much as possible. Listen to children and answer their questions. Children will naturally come up with questions while learning something new.
- Technical Development Workshop: I attend a data analytics workshop with Python, in the workshop, I start from the basics of Python to exploring many different types of data. I learn how to prepare data for analysis, perform simple statistical analyses, create a good data visualizations. It uses scripting features and besides that uses many advanced libraries such as NumPy, Matplotlib, and SciPy which makes it useful for scientific computing.
- Speaker series: Carlos F. Moreira is a partner and Health Industries Emerging Technology Leader with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC. He shares experience and provides a unique and informative insight into the inner-workings of their respective companies.
