- Excel to clean a list of over 2000 of Fox MBA alumni profiles, removing duplicate profiles and profiles with missing email fields, and to segment list into two segments based on graduation year. I then imported the cleaned data to Campaign Monitor to create accurate segments based on custom fields such as year graduated.
- Created custom fields on Campaign Monitor to create journeys for automated emails based on profile’s custom field, segment, and email interactions
- Created campaigns for alumni before and after 2016 on Campaign Monitor for FMC to inform alumni about volunteer and project opportunities.
- Worked with syncing a form embedded on FMC’s website to Salesforce.

- What you learned and how it relates to your major
- I did some experimenting with the automated process on Campaign Monitor and Salesforce. A lot of the processing was similar to the swimlane diagrams from MIS 2901: continuing action based on a certain action taken or not taken. The automation was also able to help make processes more efficient and accurate: an overall goal of MIS.
- Working on the list of alumni dealt with a lot of data. I had to make sure the data was correct and accurate. Cleaning and sorting the alumni by year allowed FMC to create the number of segments and size of the segments based on the number of available graduate contact information based on year. This project was very similar to the visualization and segmentation of data learned in MIS 2502 Data and Analytics.
