TEMPLE UNIVERSITY CHINESE STUDENTS & SCHOLARS ASSOCIATION, Philadelphia, PA

Officer                                                                                                                         October 2013 – present

  • Collaborated with 5-person department to manage daily operation for the organization with 30 officers, including scheduling regular meeting and writing officer’s guideline.
  • Assisted activities department to organize welcome activities for new Chinese student, including parties for celebration of major Chinese festivals and reception for Chinese freshmen.
  • Managed travel arrangements for 90 incoming freshmen from China to Temple University and offer consultation for new students.

 

PWC TAX COMPETITION, Philadelphia, PA

  • Collaborated with 4-persons team to identify taxable treatment for virtual currency transactions.
  • Researched definition of virtual currency using economic website and tax policies on virtual currency using government website to provide possible solutions, such as assign a serial number to track the transaction.
  • Presented research with teammates to judges from PWC.

  • Tutored two middle school students in English vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing during summer break.
  • Motivated students to change attitude towards learning by using new learning strategies such as watching English films to remember new vocabulary and playing dictation competition.
  • Provided feedback to parents on students’ progress after 8 weeks.
