MY EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

WORK EXPERIENCE

JJLN Consulting   This internship has really built upon my accounting skills from using the cloud-based accounting software called Intacct, for which I received 15 hours of training.  I preformed daily accounting tasks and updated client information in the software.  Aside from that, I have contributed and built my web development skills by helping construct the company website to be interactive and comprehensible.

Temple University Football Equipment Manager   My longest tenured job, as an equipment manager for the Temple University football team, also happens to be the job I’ve enjoyed the most.  I started the position as a freshman in the fall of 2010 and have been working there ever since.  I, along with 8 other equipment staff members, were in charge of handling every equipment aspect for the football team: game day equipment, practice equipment, workout gear, etc.  My job description is all-encompassing, but the people I have met, including former Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil and current Eagles head coach Chip Kelly among others, make my job fun and always changing.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance   During the tax season of 2013 I participated in a volunteer service to provide and prepare tax returns for low-income individuals.  I learned quite a lot through my 15 hours of certification training as well as my work with a diverse set of individual clients.

In Time of Need, LLC.   Providing assistance to this company as an SEO and web development intern in the fall of 2012 was an excellent way for me to gain a lot of useful skills in the realm of computers.  I garnered a great deal of knowledge of how to enhance a company’s search engine optimization and get their name out there.  Just as well, I built on my skills to edit and enhance the webpage’s user-friendliness and interactiveness using WordPress.  I was also able to use my creativity to apply a unique prospective to the website.

Tobias Brody Accounting Assistant   Working as an accounting assistant from the winter of 2007 until the summer of 2009 was my first experience with the world of accounting.  This job was quite eye-opening for me, as I got to see the ins and outs of how a group of accountants completed the tasks at hand.  I realized that the workload was heavy at times, but I definitely enjoyed learning all of the basic accounting tools that I carried forward and have used in college.

MY FUTURE

After graduating with a degree in Accounting and MIS I would like to get a job as in the field of IT Auditing or Cyber security, possibly at one of the Big 4 accounting firms.  Before I can fully understand where my career will lead me I need to continue gain experience by working for different internships.  I am looking to get an accounting  or MIS related job in order to fully develop my skills.
