My name is Zuyin (Alvin) Zheng. I’m a fourth-year PhD student at MIS department in Fox Business School.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering management from Wuhan University in 2011 and a master’s degree in management science and engineering from Renmin University of China in 2013.
Now I’m here in Fox to further my exploring in academic world. I feel so lucky to join the MIS Department in Temple. With highly innovative and productive professors, surprisingly competitive PhD students and well-equipped laboratories and libraries, this place is awesome for research.
I have been working on different research projects to discover my interest. My first year paper is about the bright side of failure in online gaming. The second project explores the long term effect of freemium on customer retention, which is sponsored by Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative. Now my research interest focuses on matching behavior and efficiency on two-sided service platforms such as online labor markets, crowdfunding etc. I will explore further on this direction in the next one or two years.
If you coincidentally share some common research interest with me, I’m very glad for any talk with you. Click here for my contact information.
