IBIT/CDI Challenge or Conference
While in my Data Analytics course, we were given the opportunity to enter a regional competition for turning real data into actionable insights. I chose to work with QVC’s Platform data, which represents the avenues customers use most to make a purchase, what they’re purchasing, and where they are purchasing from. This project was the reason I so interested in data visualizations today, and am actively seeking a career in this field. The final project is displayed on my Sample Work page.
Fall Connection
In my third semester at Temple University I decided to attend the Fall Connection Career Fair at Alter Hall. This event was a tremendous opportunity to meet local employers from companies large and small. The value in attending this event was increasing my exposure to the companies that are looking for MIS majors as well as being able to talk to employees about what their career has looked like. This is an event every Temple business student should attend. I was honored to speak with companies like Cigna, QVC, and Pfizer.
