- Tyra Ford talked about how she started her company and the importance of you and your brand image in starting a company. Not only does your online presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) affect how companies look at you, but so does your overall reputation and how others view you. An interesting activity that she suggested that I actually did outside of the event was to ask the people closest to you to describe you in 3 words and compare those answers to get an idea of how your closest friends view you.
- Personal branding is important for essentially any job in any field. Especially in today\’s digitalized world, companies are more than likely to look at your online presence when looking for potential candidates and how you portray yourself online says a lot about how you might reflect on this potential company. You should always be mindful and aware of what you post online as well as how you carry yourself in professional environments.
