Underwriter
- Trion is an employee benefits brokerage firm that mainly works with mid-size clients. Trion is a Marsh & McLennan Agency, so it is a subsidiary of a large organization. Trion is located in Conshohocken, PA, and I will be employed in the Consulting Underwriter department.
- My job function is to analyze data about employer health plans and project future costs and provide a renewal analysis. Additionally, I have to create client exhibits using excel and negotiate discounts by analyzing past experience.
- This job relates to MIS because it involves a lot of data analysis and work in excel, and I specifically use skills I learned in the Data Analytics class such as pivot tables. Additionally, I use skills learned in Digital Solutions Studio becuase it involves an aspect of analysis and consulting.
