Summer Intern (Private Banking Solutions)
- SEI Investments is large financial services firm that is located in Oaks, Pa. Over the summer of 2018, I worked as an intern on the Private Banking Solutions team.
- My role on the team was to support the manager responsible for delivering financially accurate custodial reporting to private wealth clients on the SEI Wealth Platform. My biggest projects involved research on Linux on the mainframe, cleaning up code names in the database, user acceptance testing for the SEI app, and finding errors in financial reporting. I also worked on a summer long team case study about how SEI could strategically position itself to benefit from the growing student loan debt market.
- The solutions team essentially bridged the gap between the financial side of the business and technology. I learned how technology supported the business and how to communicate between business employees and technology employees. During my time here, I was able to take a tour of the data center, which ties directly into what I am learning in Enterprise IT Architecture.
