Work Experience

Experience:

At PCS as a field service technician I had to work onsite with a multitude of clients that had varying issues.  This internship gave me a grasp on the way MSP’s run and the importance of organization within a ticketing system.  I really enjoyed going onsite and speaking with clients and then ultimately solving their issue.  Whether it was a networking issue, application issue, or a hardware issue, I would utilize my troubleshooting process to ultimately fix it.  I enjoyed a challenge and became rewarded for it by being assigned to more difficult tickets. Patience and determination is key within IT.

The internship at PCS actually is leading me toward a full time job there. The FSU position was perfect to start for my career. I was put into situations with coworkers in the first two weeks and learned plenty.  Following that, I was able to show my skills and then began working by myself. They then gave me some days to train in the CSU (Client Service Unit) in order to work remotely. That is a better position and more technical. They are working on my paperwork now and I will be working for them full time in the Spring. I am very thankful for PCS and am excited to continue to learn and grow.
