Professional Career:
As a full-time student I am able to maintain my career in management. I am pursuing degree in MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS in order to acquire more knowledge and efficiency in my management career.
THE WALKING COMPANY: This job is very tasking. As Assistant Manager I have to handle employee scheduling, KPI reports, maintain sales in order to reach goals, and also maintain my own company goals. This company is based on customer satisfaction and high levels of customer service. As a company they hope to personalize the shopping experience for each guest, by custom fitting and selecting a variety of shoes and products, based on the customers’ needs. I excel at this job, as I am great at multi-tasking. I have been with the company for over five years, and hope to continue to grow and climb into higher positions.
GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER COMMUNITY CENTER: One of my favorite positions ever held in my career so far would have to be at this location. Here I held a position as Head Life Guard for two years. The Carver Center is a local community recreation center that houses a lot of activities for under-privileged children and adults. Here I worked with scheduling, pool maintenance, and overall safety to ensure everyone had a safe and joyful summer. I also did some volunteer work for this center over the years, including working food stands, hosting small events, and participating in most community events that were held. With such a low budget the Carver Center needed as much help as it could get and I was glad to help.
POST GRADUATION: Post graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree MSOM, I hope to further develop my skills in management. My future goal is to one day run my own warehouse. Currently I am starting to dispatch loads for my family and try to get a hold into the transportation side of the sup ply chain. With this process complete I will strive for creating capital to start looking for locations. I am a reasonable person and understand something of this nature will take time and experience.
