About Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC)
- JMEC is a non-profit organization that provides business training programs in Japan. It helps to foster the development and investment of foreign businesses in Japan while strengthening the business skills of up-and-coming Japanese executives.
- The program creates a network between highly motivated mid-career professionals and companies in need of a business plan for their activities in the Japanese market. The core of the program is to provide a supporting platform that provides benefits for all parties included: volunteers, participants, project clients, and sponsors.

My Responsibilities as JMEC Business Development Analyst
- Conducted research on market insights, JMEC participants demographics, business opportunities, and new technology development.
- Conducted interviews with Subject Matter Experts in the functional areas to strengthen JMEC’s marketing growth.
- Proposed a recommended course of action to increase the participation and sponsorship of corporates and investors
- Analyzed participants database and created KPIs to track and record metrics, data, and statistics on JMEC connections, clients retention and finances on a regular basis.
- Worked closely with 18 Chambers of Commerce to promote JMEC activities.
- Planned and executed June Awards Ceremony banquet.
- Supported JMEC information sessions, lectures, and networking events.
