Front Desk Assistant, Enrollment, Graduate Studies & Research

Assist in the daily operations of the offices. In charge of filing, answering phones, and delivering and handling inter-office mail. Assist advisors with technical problems related to IT. Help with Excel and it’s functions such as VLookup, Pivot tables, and charts. Other tasks related to IT included keeping track of the research assistantship contracts by comparing data from different sheets, analyzing it, and putting in corrections. Tracked competition outcomes and put the data in assignment documents. Later created a pivot table to analyze the outcome and find the winner. Lastly, I do account reconciliation and review documents to match data. Later convert sheets into pdf and combine pdfs according to the requirements.

Through all this regular work withing Microsoft office has led me to gain a lot of experience with it and made my skills more proficient and smooth. My skills with Microsoft office are proficient now after all the work that I do in it on a regular basis in my job. All this practice has made me become more fluent and efficient with Microsoft office and I believe it will further help me in my Major as I learned a couple of functions and feel confident in learning more in other programs and languages. Plus work related to Microsoft office in my major would be easier for me now due to my experience in it.
