IT Quality Assurance Intern
- AmerisourceBergen is a large pharmaceutical distribution company. I was part of the IT division, specifically on the Quality Assurance team. They have 2 offices in PA; one in Conshohocken and one in Chesterbrook. I worked at the Chesterbrook location.
- My job was to perform audit tests on IT projects to make sure they comply with the company’s standards. I utilized programs such as HPQC ALM v.11 and Microsoft Excel and perform test execution audits. I would also analyze this data in Microsoft Excel and present my analysis to the managers. Other tasks included research projects on popular IT subjects and presenting this research to managers.
- I extracted the data from our test execution audits and analyzed the most frequent reasons why the test execution audits would fail. I created graphs and charts to visualize which specific reasons showed up the most, and presented it to my manager as well as the testing team. I was commended on my work and my manager told me the presentation would be used as future training material
- I learned a lot of valuable data analytics skills that allowed me to break down a large data set and tell a story using specific data. I also learned how to perform audits in the IT industry. I am now more proficient in Microsoft Excel because I often used function in Excel that I would previously never been exposed to.
