E-Portfolio Improvements
For this assignment, I improved some of the details about my recently approved e-portfolio. First, I create a new menu widget based on a pre-generated menu. I demonstrate how an organized menu is an important part of any website. Next I added a picture of Alter Hall to my front page, utilizing the Digital Library within WordPress. Lastly, I create a new post about a field trip from another MIS class. After adding a ‘New Post’ section to my e-portfolio, I edit and publish my first post.
Amazon Web Services
For this assignment, I signed up for a free trial of Amazon Web Services. This includes access to a variety of services and software’s offered by Amazon. Within the server, I demonstrate creating a virtual desktop, adding/dragging files and mobile application development and testing. I do a hand-on demo of creating my own domain for file sharing through Amazon. I show some of its features and an example of a file I uploaded and left collaborative feedback on.
