Temple University Career Fair
Description: Held each semester, this event is for students and alumni seeking full-time jobs and internships across all majors. A job fair is an opportunity for you to present yourself professionally in person to a potential employer, while showcasing your communication skills. What I learned: From this career fair I learned that for my major its best to go to either IT specific majors career fairs or contact the company directly with MIS internship inquiries. I also got a better feeling for what questions are most important when talking to a representative of a company.
How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals: This career fair helped my realize in order to reach my career goals, i need to make more of an effort to find companies that are more IT focus and reach out to them myself instead of waiting for them to show up on campus.
