Assistant Research Analyst – Sandhani Life Finance Ltd
This past summer I worked as an Assistant Research Analyst at Sandhani Finance Limited, a Merchant Bank with headquarters in Dhaka, Bangladesh. My role was to analyse data, prepare reports and explain them to the Managing Director.
The main program I used during my internship was Microsoft Excel as that was what the company used to manage all their data. I used SQL queries to extract data and then generate reports from them such as performance reviews for our Financial Analysts. Each report I made I had to write a short description for what datasets I used and what the report meant.
I introduced Power BI at Sandhani Finance and showed how beneficial it was to have data that is responsive and interactive compared to static charts and graphs. I created reports that gave the Managing Director insights on what products generated the most revenue and which service was not meeting standards.
