National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) Walk-a-thon
- National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) Walk-a-thon
- The goal of the organization is to provide a community for women and family members affected by ovarian cancer. This event is a fundraiser/walk to fight ovarian cancer. I
- The goals of the event were to raise money and awareness of ovarian cancer and bring together a community of survivors and friends and family. The result was a sunny day filled with fundraising booths, raffle prizes, cheers for the runners/walkers, and engaging stories told by family and survivors. Our organization helped the event coordinators check in runners and hand out merchandise and t-shirts at the booth. We also helped set up their credit card machine, and applied MIS knowledge, since they used the brand Square. I was able to learn more about NOCC as an organization and the people who are a part of it. I also learned the early signs of ovarian cancer.
