AstraZeneca IT Internship
This past summer, I interned at AstraZeneca pharmaceuticals in the Global IT department. I worked as a business analyst and performed many of the activities that I learned about in MIS 3504 Digital Design and Innovation. I communicated with SMEs to elicit business requirements and created use cases from the information they gave me. I then imported the use cases into JIRA and updated them on an as-needed basis. I also studied my project’s documents and performed requirements clarification with one of the SMEs I worked closely with. I worked with another intern to research and create a promotional video to be distributed internationally for a new review and approval system that AstraZeneca is implementing. For our intern project, I worked with the other three interns in my department to research and create a presentation to recommend a solution for a current business problem that the department is facing, which we then presented to our respective coworkers and managers.
